Social Action

“You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” (Matthew 22:39).

Love for other people means a desire to see justice and dignity afforded to all.

At Unity Methodist Church we host and are partners in Sandbach Food Bank, Sandbach Pantry and Lifeline Debt Advice. We actively support the charitable work of Christian Aid, All We Can, Action For Children and Methodist Homes among others.

There is a small but committed Justice and Peace Group which campaigns on social justice issues including those related to poverty, asylum seekers, climate change and Israel Palestine. For further details please send an email to

 karen.unitymc@gmail.com

The Israelite prophet Micah said:
"What does the Lord require of you? Only to act justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

God of mercy and source of justice, pour on your people such love and compassion that we cannot remain silent, we cannot tolerate injustice and poverty.
As your grace fills our hearts, so may we be stirred into action to demonstrate your love for all the world and for all creatures that live and move on this earth. Amen
